THE FOUNDER

Dennis R. Leary is principal and founder of Affordable Housing Investment Partners (AHIP) and its parent company AHIP-Holdings located in St. Petersburg, FL.

Building on a 30-year career, 20 of which have been in various facets of the affordable housing industry, Dennis brings a unique diversity of experience to each investment opportunity he considers. Drawing from his early career as an MAI appraiser to the last three years investing nearly $40 million of equity in various multi-family housing and hospitality investments, Dennis has the wisdom of experience and a breadth of relationships from which to draw.

Dennis also spent over a decade servicing institutional equity clients at Raymond James where he was consistently a top performer known for his unwavering integrity and attention to detail.

Dennis graduated Cum Laude from the University of Connecticut, majoring in Finance and Real Estate. Living in St. Petersburg with his wife Kristin and their 7 children, Dennis spends his free time coaching his kids in various sports and competing in triathlons including a sub 12-hour finish in the Florida Ironman. Dennis currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Shorecrest Preparatory School, the oldest independent day school in Florida.
